Financial Analyst

You will be reporting to the Director of Finance and collaborating closely with the rest of the finance team. Always on the go when we have to meet deadlines but we could save time to enjoy a meal or a drink, participate in a few team activities or some outings.

This role will be hybrid-based requiring a mix of working from our **Montreal office, QC** and teleworking**. **This role is a 18 months contract, with possibility for conversion.**

**What you will do**

The Financial Analyst is an essential member of the Finance team. The main responsibilities of this role include financial modeling, forecasting, cost analysis, budgeting and reporting.
- Conduct detailed financial analyses, prepare financial forecasts and provide support during the budget planning cycles;
- Leverage data, and business understanding to build and maintain financial models including (cost analysis, forecasting and monitoring); and track variances against budget and forecasts;
- Analyze and consolidate business unit budgets to ensure compliance with established rules, avoid errors and prepare presentation to management;
- Implement and analyze various performance indicators and follow up with the teams concerned;
- Provide insights into financial health metrics and communicate findings effectively;
- Prepare various recurring financial reporting - present financial results, distill key trends, assess business risk, and communicate key messages to the executive team;
- Participate in other projects as necessary.

**What you will need**
- 3 to 5 years in a similar position
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or administration; experience in financial analysis, strategic planning or budgeting and forecasting
- Practical experience with complex high-volume data and advanced excel skills
- Time management and multitasking, under tight deadlines
- Strong knowledge of Office suite (Excel, Powerpoint,)
- CPA (in progress or completed) would be an asset
- Excellent communication skills; most communication will be in English but knowledge of French will be considered a strong advantage
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Intellectual curiosity
- Great autonomy and proactivity
- Team spirit

**Nice to Haves (assets)**:

- Professional certification/training or post secondary education in accounting, business administration or related field
- Knowledge using accounting software (sage, concur)
- Industry experience (AdTech)
- Knowledge of French
