The opportunity

The Data Warehouse Administrator provides operational enhancements, maintenance and support for the SAS server environments at Canadian Western Bank. This position provides expertise in performing software maintenance, installation and configuration. Utilizes system administration skills to maintain both production and non-production environments. Documents all configuration details of data warehouse installation and setup. The SAS Administrator serves as liaison to the IS infrastructure teams and business partners to ensure appropriate delivery of technology solutions in accordance with business requirements and objectives. The Data Warehouse Administrator also ensures the platforms are positioned for compliance with IS policies and standards and agreed upon service levels. This role will be the primary administrator to support the SAS AML environment, with support from the full admin team.

Key deliverables

FINANCIAL PILLAR- Assist with managing resource time and costs associated with after-hours support ensuring alignment to approved budget.

CLIENT PILLAR- Assist business stakeholders in realizing their stated objectives through the use of data assets and information products that enable better and faster decisions.- Ensure completed solutions meet specified requirements of stakeholders.- Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members and business stakeholders.

SUPPORT PILLAR- Provide administrative support for the AML (anti-money laundering) environments.- Assist in the configuration of the Operating Systems (including Windows, Unix / Linux) with respect to the requirements of the SAS, Denodo and Data Lakehouse (DLH) ecosystem.- Contributes to the best practices and guidelines for usage of the SAS, Denodo and DLH products.- Ensure proper documentation is maintained for all processes.- Reviewing server and desktop pre-installation checklists to ensure it contains all requirements for infrastructure, operating systems and system user permission/access.- Support software downloads for SAS, Denodo and DLH Binaries- Install and configure software, documenting all details for the Build-Book.- Review installation Build-Book and revise as required.- Install and configure non-production and production server SAS, Denodo and DLH software, and troubleshooting including all remediation required for successful completion of software install.- Configure database access engines for all data sources and validate access engine configurations.- Perform health-checks & monitoring post migration and identify any required remediation efforts.- D
