Now Hiring: Equipment Operator III (Competition #24-27)
Parkland County has a seasonal position available for an Equipment Operator III working from approximately March to December every year. Reporting to the Supervisor, Drainage, you will be required to assist in the delivery of the Drainage Maintenance Program and Construction Projects throughout the County. You will also be required to perform a variety of labour related duties as part of the drainage crew.
- Experience operating a variety of medium to heavy duty equipment used in road/drainage maintenance and construction with emphasis on excavator and crawler tractor operation.
- Knowledge in the use of various types of grade stakes.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with the public. Valid Class 3 Driver’s License with Q endorsement or the ability to acquire within 60 days of hiring. Alberta Class 1 Driver’s License with Q endorsement would be an asset.
An hourly rate of pay of $37.18 based on 40 hours per week working 9 months out of the year.
