Distribution Team Member

**What’s the role?**
The Distribution Team Member oversees all functions relating to the safe, environmentally sound loading, unloading, and shipping of rail cars / trucks which meets or exceeds Shell, industry and government standards. The Distribution Team Member is the field execution lead for all rail and loading activities on shift.
This role is responsible for:
- Monitor shift loading progress and performance, and identify constraints to meeting the plan
- Support Rail Contractor in loading/off-loading of rail cars (Sulphur, HAO, HOS), Sulphur Truck loading, and rail yard car movements in a safe and environmentally responsible manner
- Support Rail & Loading contractor by ensuring availability of Distribution consumables (placards, car seals)
- Conduct assurance walks and observations of loading and switching in Distribution areas
- Assess Contractor Front Line Barrier Management on shift
- Review executed procedures for units and provide procedure updates as needed
- Troubleshoot loading system issues and escalate to Distribution Production Specialist when required
- Adhere to compliance with license to Operate an Industrial Railway
- Adhere to TDG compliance in the Distribution area
- Ensure shift logs for the Distribution Area are up to date and enter threats into the Shift Plan
- Enter notifications for Distribution area
- Create Isolation packages to support Maintenance Planning, Scheduling, and Execution of work
- Prepare and isolate equipment as required for repair or maintenance activities following Safe Work Practices
- Permit maintenance work in Distribution following the Permit to Work Safe Work Practice
- Review and execute Daily Order Instructions
- Escalate Environmental Compliance concerns to Chemicals & Distribution Production Team Leader
- Conduct winterization walkdowns and enter data into the Extreme Weather Bad Actor Registry
- May be required to fill a reserve worker role
**What you bring**
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- Minimum 3 years related experience preferred in Manufacturing
- Willingness in obtaining 4th class Power Engineering certificate
- Experience with rail car and truck loading/offloading is an asset
- Knowledge of Emergency Response protocols would be advantageous
- Ability to manage equipment isolation activities
- Possess basic computer skills, i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Class 5 Driver’s License is required
