Be our next **Field Technician-Civil/Geotechnical**
**Your work environment at EXP**
At EXP, we’re looking for a driven professional to be a part of our Environment/Earth Science - Geotechnical team, based in our Sudbury office. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of impactful projects in the region.
**What a Day at EXP Looks Like**
- Conduct soil identification and classification.
- Monitor site grading activities, including limited surveying tasks.
- Perform in situ density and compaction testing.
- Sample and test concrete, mortar, grout, and asphalt.
- Conduct soil and groundwater sampling and analysis.
- Collaborate closely with contractors, consultants, and municipal personnel.
- Receive training and provide support in the concrete and soils laboratory.
**What Your Experience Looks Like**
- College diploma in architecture, construction, civil engineering, or environmental sciences.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Familiarity with MTO, CSA, CCIL, and ASTM procedures is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous relevant experience, including co-op work terms, is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to job sites throughout Southern Ontario (mileage and expenses reimbursed).Strong written and verbal communication skills
