Housekeeper

The Housekeeper role is an exciting opportunity at Carp Ridge EcoWellness Centre No day is ever the same. The Housekeeper maintains the household, Clinic and other buildings to be tidy and ready for each day on our bustling property. With opportunities to also jump in and provide hands-on support around the property and facilities when needed.

Reporting to Katherine Willow (Owner, Naturopathic Doctor, & German New Medicine Educator)**,** the responsibilities and tasks would include:

- Daily House & Clinic cleaning, organizing, and sanitizing
- including one late afternoon per week.
- Holistic Cooking and food prep for Katherine Willow & household.
- A wide range of cleaning duties such as
- vacuuming, mopping, emptying trash cans, dusting, cleaning windows, change linens, laundry, wash dishes, etc.
- Collaborate with the owner's personal assistant and clinic manager on special projects.
- Build knowledge of, and stay informed about anything related to the property, owner's household, and facilities.
- Recruit and work with volunteers along with the operations team.
- Liaise with contractors and repair services to ensure work is completed in a timely & efficient manner along with the operations team.
- Monthly water testing.
- Provide orientation and training to other staff and guests along with the operations team.
- Shopping for supplies and other misc. errands.
- Plant care indoors (watering) and occasional outdoor plant care/maintenance.
- Occasional pet care - Cats, Dogs.

**Job Requirements**:

- Previous experience/education in household management or operations, and housekeeping will be considered an asset.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Attention to detail & the ability to use your own initiative.
- Responsible & Reliable.
- Ability to anticipate future needs of the owner as well as the greater needs of the centre, clinic, and community and make plans accordingly.
- Able to recognize and report any safety hazards to the owner.
- Interest or experience in health, wellness, & nature.
- Not afraid to work outdoors and get your hands dirty.
- Work well in a team environment but is also able to work independently.

- Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance, and a clean drivers abstract.

- Familiar with landlord & tenant relations.
- Experience living in a community with other people.
- Gardening and/or wild plant knowledge.

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
