**Job Overview**: VIS Mechanical Ltd is seeking skilled **2nd, 3rd, 4th-year apprentices and Journeyperson Plumbers** to join our team in Victoria, BC. We are looking for multiple individuals who are self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently. This role involves installing and maintaining water and sewer systems, drainage, and finishing fixtures for both residential and commercial properties.

**Responsibilities**:

- Install water and sewer lines in residential and commercial structures
- Connect gas lines and ensure proper sealing and ventilation
- Install drainage piping systems, including PVC and cast iron
- Install water softeners and various plumbing fixtures (sinks, toilets, showers)
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with water systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and installation of plumbing fixtures, pipes, and lines
- Interpret and work from blueprints, specifications, and building codes
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for safe machinery and plumbing operation in commercial settings
- Mentor apprentices and collaborate with the team to achieve high standards and meet project timelines

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a plumber, in either commercial construction sites or residential services
- Knowledge of water distribution systems, water softeners, water heaters, pressure regulators, water disposal systems, and related plumbing systems
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively and prioritize as needed
- Advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to independently troubleshoot and address plumbing issues
- Strong customer service skills for professional interactions with clients

**Preferred Skills**:

- Familiarity with safe operation procedures and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards
- Physical capability to perform demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, and in varied weather conditions
