**Your Role: Material Handler**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Select and handle the correct number and type of materials, including lumber and trusses, based on job orders and pick lists.
- Inspect materials to ensure they meet quality standards, checking for defects and warping.
- Prepare materials for shipping by stacking, strapping, and labeling them according to specifications.
- Work with team members to ensure stacking schedules and order preparation deadlines are met.
- Load and unload materials from delivery trucks and other sources as needed.
- Organize and maintain the storage area, ensuring materials are stacked safely and efficiently.
- Keep work areas, including yards and conveyors, clean and in good operating order, and report any maintenance requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost savings.
- Follow all Health and Safety and Quality policies, processes, and procedures.
- Report any unsafe or hazardous conditions to supervisors or the Health and Safety Committee.
