Team Leadership and Management:

- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate a team of 310T licensed mechanics and support staff.
- Schedule and assign work to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

Maintenance Operations:

- Oversee the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of diesel engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspensions, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
- Ensure all maintenance work is performed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize vehicle lifespan.
- Manage and maintain an organized and efficient parts inventory.
- Ensure the availability of all necessary tools, equipment, and resources.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues.

Compliance and Safety:

- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, including provincial and federal guidelines
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Manage vehicle maintenance records and ensure they are up-to-date.
- Oversee vehicle inspections

Budget and Cost Control:

- Control maintenance costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing on parts and services.
- Monitor and analyze maintenance expenses and provide regular reports to management.

Other Duties:

- Road test vehicles to ensure quality of work.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and advancements in diesel mechanics.

Qualifications:

- 310T license
- Prior experience managing a trucking industry shop.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of diesel engine systems, air brake systems, and electrical systems.

Pay: $80,000.00-$110,000.00 per year

- Bonus pay
