We are in search of a business-minded problem solver who is interested in joining a growing Global Procurement team

The role sits on the Global Oncology Procurement team reporting to the Senior Director of Oncology Procurement. The role is focused on supporting both the Global and US markets primarily focused on service based Commercial categories with broader team support.

The Procurement Specialist will work with relevant Procurement peers and Business Leaders to handle a spend category and help develop long-term strategic plans for the entire spend area within the Oncology Business Unit. They will work closely with customers and suppliers to ensure that Category Strategies are highly aligned to current and future Business needs and that the supply base is capable of supporting these strategies. The role will be responsible for handling the implementation of category plans. Additionally, this role will have focus on broader team responsibilities including analytics, procurement processes and governance.

**What you will do**:

- Oversee the implementation of category or subcategory plan
- Manage and/or complete key projects aligned to overall procurement strategy
- Ensure the underpinning process improvement and procurement activities deliver the expected business value in accordance with the strategic plans
- Support the regional or global procurement team members in the development of long term strategic plans for agreed scope of spend area to ensure that category strategies are highly aligned to current and future business need and that the supply base is capable of supporting these strategies
- Manage Procurement Programs including; analysis, projects, processes and governance
- Develops, evaluates, or manages internal and external relationships with suppliers and other cross-functional teams
- Lead sourcing activity as defined within the category strategy.
- Analyze, manage and resolve issues arising in delivering procurement objectives as well as broad procurement based processes

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- 1+ years of applicable experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Contract management/negotiation
- Supplier Relationship Management experience
- Project management experience
- Understanding of service industries and/or professional services
- Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchasing experience
- Financial Acumen and skills
