Brannon Steel is looking for an experienced **Radial Drill Operator / Machinist **to join the team at its Brampton manufacturing facility. Starting at up to $36.33 per hour depending on experience, you'll operate industrial radial drilling machines, lathe and milling machines in a production environment processing carbon steel parts for world-class OEMs.
**Job type**: Full-time applicants preferred but part-time applicants will be considered.
**Work Schedule**: Day shift preferred but other schedules can be considered.
**Responsibilities**
- Demonstrate commitment to safe work practices at all times.
- Perform careful job preparation based on drawings and work instructions.
- Skillfully setup, operate and troubleshoot industrial radial drilling machines, lathe and milling machines.
- Handle steel parts manually and using overhead hoist.
- Perform thorough visual and dimensional checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Perform basic machine maintenance including cleaning and monitoring fluid levels.
- Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized work area.
- Complete required production and quality documents.

**Requirements**:

- 5+ years of practical experience in a Machinist role.
- Skilled in the use of overhead cranes / hoists.
- Skilled at reading part drawings and specifications including GD&T.
- Skilled in the use of basic and precision measuring tools.
- Fluent in both imperial and metric systems.
- Strong attention to detail with the drive to achieve perfection.
- Lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Speak, read, and write English at a conversational level.
