Assistant Sourcing Manager

Purpose:
The Assistant Sourcing Manager is responsible for aiding in developing and executing the organization’s sourcing and procurement strategy. This position supports and partners with internal partners: production, product development, category, raw material, QA and external suppliers, to ensure the alignment of goals and expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Responsible for executing sourcing initiatives and managing sourcing activities.
- Assist in the process of onboarding new vendors
- Negotiates and/or supports core costing with vendors and ensure financial targets are met.
- Responsible for managing calendar timelines and orders placement.
- Develop best in class partnerships with our strategic suppliers.
- Manage vendor facing communication related to sourcing activities and factory management.
- Maintain broad knowledge of worldwide market trends on assigned commodities.
- Creates a collaborative and positive team environment that encourages authentic and transparent contribution.
- Represent Sourcing in cross functional team meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

- 3 + years of experience in sourcing, procurement, product development and/or combination of these
- Familiarity with production process, materials and cost components in a lean manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word etc.
- Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
