**SHIFTS AVAILABLE 5/8's and 4/10’s**:

- Sunday to Wednesday 5:00am to 3:30pm
- Monday to Friday 1:30pm to 10:00pm
- Wednesday to Saturday 5:00am to 3:30pm

**INCENTIVE:**:After completion of training, performance incentives available and $0.50/hour increase following probation.

**WHAT THE ROLE IS**:
Lead Hand: Support the daily management of the Warehouse department by performing a wide variety of duties to assist in directing, controlling, and coordinating the shipping of products, Supervising the department staff and act as the go to person in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor.

Order Picker: Order Pickers perform a wide variety of duties to fulfill Islands West customer orders. Pickers will perform duties such as physically pick product from locations, sticker and load orders onto pallets while focusing on quality and accuracy. Duties also include loading pallets on trucks, replenishing each’s/ lbs. locations, assisting with breaking pallets down at time of receiving, and general warehouse housekeeping.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Performs or supervises Warehouse duties including the efficient operation of order picking, checking product for quality and accuracy, filling shorts, loading, shipping, and receiving of inventory.
- Checking and auditing picked orders for quality and accuracy. Ensures only the best possible product for the customer with great attention to detail.
- Practices a safe, organized working environment.
- Conducts inventory counts as directed.
- Ensures completion of and accurate review of daily and weekly HACCP checklists.
- Maintains an awareness of par levels of product and notifies buyers immediately of any par levels concerns being low stock or slow movement of.
- Supports an effective department through way of training and assignment of personnel.
- Provides daily support in the department to ensure that staff are supported, questions have been answered, and problems solved.
- Coordinates with Supervisor for the daily planning and execution of warehouse operations.
- Attends and provides input at weekly pre-shift meetings with employees to review objectives, service levels, quality concerns, productivity, and allocation of duties.
- Attends as directed, all team meetings, training meetings and/or professional development sessions.
- Works with mínimal supervision and from the guidance of their Supervisor/Operations Manager. Keeps them informed of department activities on an on-going basis.

**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION**:

- Prior experience in food manufacturing or assembly line work considered an asset.
- Pallet-jack and forklift experience an asset.

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:

- Ability to safely bend, twist and lift up to 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
- Ability to walk and stand for the duration of scheduled shift.
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Food Safe Level 1 (Islands West will provide).
- Hepatitis A Vaccination (Islands West will provide).
- Must have valid work authorization in Canada.
- As this role is onsite, you must currently reside in Victoria, BC.
