The position provides direction to the Post Majority Team and supports youth engaging in the program by facilitating community connections and opportunities. The **Community Recreational Worker **works in a team environment and is expected to provide specific support to Young Adults who are housed in our supportive housing program. Specifically, this role provides day to day support, facilitates cultural and community connections, crisis support, and recreational opportunities This program is designed to meet the individual needs of each Young Adult starting from where they are in their personal and cultural journey. This program is for Dalkelh Young Adults between the ages of 19 and 26 years. This position is full-time. **Qualifications include**: - Combined education and training with related experience in youth care field; - Willingness and ability to work with Young Adults to be supported in identifying developing, and strengthening their cultural identity and their own life plan; - Awareness of Dalkelh Culture, community services, resources, and systems; Mentor and model effective techniques and interventions with young adults; - Experience in working with Indigenous groups/communities in a cultural context; - Certification, First Aid, Class 4 Driver's License, Crisis Prevention Intervention, Suicide Intervention, Food Safe; are required but will consider applicants willing to achieve after hire; - Ability to undergo a successful criminal record search; and - Our starting wage is $28.51 - $32.51/hour based on qualifications and experience with a full benefit plan and RRSP contributions. **Prince George Native Friendship Centre
