Framer/carpenter

Sila Contracting Inc is looking for a highly skilled carpenter or construction worker who is able to use power tools and construction materials to complete wide variety of framing work for custom homes and builders.

**Construction specialization**:

- Industrial, Commercial
- Residential

**Responsibilities and requirements**:

- read and intrepid blueprints, drawings and sketches to calculate and determine specifications required.
- measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes and other materials.
- must have proper PPE, steel toe boots, hard hat, and safety glasses.

**Work conditions and physical capabilities**:

- Bending, crouching, kneeling
- able to lift 50lbs
- handling some heavy loads
- physically demanding
- repetitive tasks
- work in various outdoor weather conditions
- willing to work in surrounding areas including, Cambridge, Kitchener, Hamilton etc

Transportation provided in the Cambridge and KW area

**Job Types**: Full-time, Casual

**Salary**: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cambridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
