POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for ensuring customer orders are picked accurately and safely loaded onto trucks to meet expected due dates. The incumbent is also responsible to receive raw materials, components, finished goods, maintenance supplies as required and utilize WMS for all receiving activities.

DUTIES
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, works in a safe manner and adheres to the Ontario Occupational Heath and Safety Act
- Ensures all customer ordersare picked accurately on time to meet customer scheduled delivery times.
- Ensures all orders are securely packed, properly labeled, and wrapped as to prevent damages during transit as per customer requirements.
- Provides prompt and courteous customer service to all pick-up and walk-in customers.
- Operates warehouse material handling equipment in a safe manner.
- Participates in cycle/inventory counting as needed
- Ensures HACCP, SQF requirements and SOP’s are followed at all times to ensure food safety.
- Assists in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse and other areas
- Reports observations of any deviation to the process/procedure or a defect or nonconformance to the product which may result in a situation requiring food safety assessment and placing product on hold or scrapping the product to the management immediately.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS

Valid forklift License

1 to 3 years experience as a shipper receiver

Food experience and asset
