**Salary**: $28.90/hr

The City of Kenora is seeking instructors to deliver a wide variety of fitness and aquafit programs. Reporting to the community programs supervisor, the Fitness Instructor ensures the enjoyment of patrons while delivering a wide range of aquatic and dryland fitness. Courses will run from forty five minutes to an hour in length 7 days per week and are typically eight weeks in length per program.

**Qualifications**:

- Must be registered as a Personal Trainer and/or equivalent education and experience.
- Preference will be given to those who have previous experience and training delivering fitness courses.
- Must be willing to participate in training and skills workshop
- Strong communication skills
- Valid First Aid/CPR Certification, or willing to obtain
- Act as an innovative fitness ambassador, both in and out of class
- Ability to effectively communicate exercise techniques and principles to participants
- Ability to work mornings, days, evenings and weekends
- Time management skills to effectively plan and organize class schedules
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a proven focus on service delivery
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to get along well with others including supervisors, co-workers, members of the public and other partners in service
