Potzus Ltd is one of Saskatchewans largest construction companies. Established in 1966 we are a second generation family owned and operated business. Day to day operations include excavation, earth moving, site development, aggregate production, and paving.

We are currently looking for an AGGREGATE TECHNICIAN.

You will:

- Travel throughout Saskatchewan searching for aggregate and assessing potential sources for quality and quantity to support our gravel crushing and highway paving projects. -Meet with landowners and stakeholders. -Operate some heavy equipment and mobile drill to complete test holes. -Log and collect samples.

You need:

- Valid drivers license.
- Past experience sourcing aggregate or a geological background.
- past expereince with surveying and GPS technology an asset-Excellent verbal communication, written communication, and time management skills are a must.
- Be able to work outdoors, long hours, and travel throughout Saskatchewan.
- heavy equipment operating and mechanical experience is a benefit.
- Responsibility for yourself and others in a safety conscious environment.
- Proven history of strong attention to detail.
- Drive to job sites, land owner sites
- and conduct soils and other construction materials testing
- Communicate with landowners and Rural Municipalities
- Perform visual inspections of soils
- Return samples to the office for laboratory testing
- Report data in an accurate, complete, timely, and understandable fashion in accordance with applicable testing procedures
- Read and accurately interpret aggregate source plans and specifications
- Ensure that all testing equipment used is functioning properly, maintained as required by the company and/or manufacturer’s policy and that all calibrated equipment is within its calibration cycle
- Communicate with dispatching and/or field supervisor, advising of current job status and locations as required
- Ensure that project requirements are met and are compliant with project specifications, requirements, and company policies or procedures
- Attend all technician meetings
- Complete daily time and labor reports accurately in accordance with company policy
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies
- Pass required testing certification classes
- Other duties may be assigned
