Intrado is seeking a strong **_Scrum Master_** **who is an initiative-taker, eager to learn new tools and product and who is flexible and has ability to work within an environment that is fast paced and with a distributed team.

Our mission is to enhance, maintain and operate SchoolMessenger, a service trusted by tens of thousands of schools across North America, for parent and community engagement.

As a **_Scrum Master_** with Intrado, He or she will enable and empower the team to self-organize and follow lean-agile best practices. The Scrum Master supports and coaches the working methodology that the team has adopted. He or she also helps the team coordinate with other teams within the organization; fosters collaboration, innovation and transparency.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES**:

- Lead sprint planning, daily standup, system demonstrations and sprint retrospectives. Coordinate and communicate with other scrum masters, teams, and the Release Train Engineer
- Identify and remove team roadblocks and enable teams to self-organize around a growth mindset focusing on business priorities.
- Challenge teams to problem-solve from within. Facilitate progress toward team goals and identify opportunities for process improvement, as necessary. Provide transparency into development progress and business value creation.
- Coach agile and scrum best practices for team and cross-team collaboration and processes
- Manage Kanban workflows in JIRA for scrum teams. Monitor team progress and velocity through JIRA burndown and cumulative flow charts.
- Build a high performing team and continuous improvement culture via relentless focus on transparency, inspection, and adaption
- Foster and embrace a lean-agile mindset

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, business administration, or MIS required.
- Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements.

**EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum of (3) three years increasingly responsible Scrum Master experience required; working knowledge of software development preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum practices and principles and will ensure team is following these practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Expert facilitating Agile meetings (daily stand-up, sprint planning, sprint/quarterly demo, and retrospective)
- Strong knowledge of the Software development Life Cycle
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of general Agile practices, slicing/describing user stories, organizing Epics, typical Story Life Cycle
- experience with Agile tracking software such as Jira
