Kitchen Supervisor
- We are seeking Red Seal Chefs or 2 year Culinary Diploma holders to with at least 3 years experience in institutional cooking for our kitchen in _**Southport Aerospace Centre.**_ _It is 3 km south of the town Portage La Prairie and an hour drive from Winnipeg. This is a full-time culinary management position, assisting in kitchen operations, reporting directly to the Food Service Manager._
- **Job Duties**_
- _Manage daily kitchen and culinary program execution with excellence_
- _Train, mentor and develop the skills of all culinary team members alongside fellow Kitchen Supervisors_
- _Follow cyclical menus and recipes_
- _Oversee food production for the dining facilities including preparation of soups, daily menus, entrees, vegetables, sauces, gravies, etc., _
- _Ensure that all food remains eye-appealing and replenished throughout the service_
- _Tear down line after service either storing correctly or disposing of product_
- _Clean line and grill area_
- _Ensure that correct storage conditions for products such as meats, produce, and dairy are maintained_
- _Other duties as assigned by Manager._
- **Qualifications**_
- _2-year Cooking diploma or Journeyman’s cook certification_
- _Current Safe Food Handlers Certificate_
- _Successful Government Clearance_
- _Reliable transportation is a must_

- _Food service: 3 years managing a kitchen team (must have)_
- License/Certification:_
- _Food Handler or equivalent (preferred)_

**Only people meeting the requirements will be called back. Must have a Red Seal or two-year culinary diploma. Will need to provide copies.**

Pay: $32.00 per hour
