**Position Summary**

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for all maintenance related duties within their assigned location(s) within a residential multi-family setting.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- General handyman duties, plumbing, electrical repairs and maintenance
- Troubleshoot appliance repairs
- General carpentry, installation of blinds, fixing doors etc.
- Drywall, tiling and painting when required
- Perform preventive maintenance essential to extending lifecycle of equipment and cost reduction
- Must be involved in maintenance work emergencies to residential units; be available for on
- call on a rotating schedule to deal with problems that occur after hours and/or weekends
- Manage tenant requests including proper follow up to ensure satisfaction and completion
- Complete maintenance checklist for unoccupied suites

**Qualifications and Requirements**
- Must possess basic handyman skills including plumbing and electrical, basic carpentry, drywall, windows, tiling skills etc.
- Specific trades/ technical certification in either plumbing, HVAC, electrical or journeyman red seal carpentry or Residential Building Maintenance certification an asset
- Prior experience in a residential multi-family environment is an asset
- Must have own tools
- Working knowledge of building systems
- Flexible to work normal work hours, on-call, weekends and any after-hours emergencies
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a reliable vehicle
- Must successfully complete a security clearance
