Junior Drafting Technician

**The Opportunity**
We are currently seeking a Junior Drafting Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in architectural drafting who is eager to grow in the window, door, and façade industry.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Prepare detailed structural design drawings for residential projects, ensuring all deliverables meet project specifications and timelines
- Verify final frame and glass sizes, and assess the constructability of windows and doors
- Collaborate with the Production and Projects Teams to review designs, address drawing-related issues, and communicate project status
- Identify and raise design or coordination issues, providing suggestions for resolution

**Requirements**:

- 1-2 years of drafting and detailing experience, with strong proficiency in AutoCAD
- Diploma in Architectural Technology or Civil Engineering Technology
- Knowledge of window, door, and curtain wall systems (considered an asset)
- Solid understanding of windows, doors, curtain wall, and railing systems
- Effective technical and mathematical skills with strong attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Adobe PDF Editor (considered an asset)
- Familiarity with Orgadata/Logikal window and door software (considered an asset)

**Job Type & Schedule**
- Full-time, permanent
- Monday to Friday
