Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. As a Support Worker, you will provide assistance and care to individuals in need, ensuring their safety, well-being, and comfort. This role requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide quality support to patients in various settings.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide direct care and support to individuals in need
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor and record vital signs of patients
- Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding as required
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for patients
- Document patient information accurately and timely

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in dementia care, patient care, or senior care is preferred
- Knowledge of assisted living facilities or nursing homes is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient-oriented approach to caregiving
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
- Basic knowledge of medication administration is desirable

Note: All positions must be paid, including internship positions.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Licence/Certification:

- Police check (preferred)
