3 Ton Truck Delivery Driver/dockworker

_**This position is to mainly cover a Delivery Driver route while they are on leave ie. vacation, sick days etc.... On Tuesdays, the incumbent will fulfill duties as a Dock Worker, unless covering for a Driver.**_

**Full - Time permanent with benefits**
**Work location - Moncton, NB**
**Working days: Monday to Friday**
**No Weekends or Holidays**

**Dockworker Shift**: _**Tuesdays only: 6:00AM - 2:30PM**_
**Driver Shift**: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday**: 6:00AM - 2:30PM (end time may vary ie. dependent upon unforeseen delays, freight and or route coverage)**

**Please note: Back up Driver Shift May start at 4:00AM to 6:00AM**

**Overtime: Overtime is based on freight volume, weather, mechanical delays etc.**

**What you will do as a Dock Worker (Main Role on Tuesdays, unless covering a Driver's route)**:

- Sort/scan freight for deliveries
- Organizing warehouse with the freight
- Clean warehouse (sweeping/use of a floor scrubber)
- Other duties as assigned

**What you will do as a Delivery Driver**:

- Drive a 3 ton commercial truck to deliver and or pick up freights to assigned stops in the Moncton - Sussex areas
- Deliver freights in good condition and within scheduled time_**(approximately 25 to 40 deliveries/day)**_
- _**Lift and carry freight weighing up to 75lbs.**_
- Use a handheld device to scan documents and freights
- _**Load and Unload freight in proper sequence with the use of a pallet truck**_
- Complete any necessary paperwork accurately
- Perform all safety checks, including pre-trip and post-trip inspection
- Report on all safety hazards and accidents
- Use a cellular phone to communicate with Dispatch, Lead Hand and Manager ie. Truck breakdowns, delivery concerns, answer calls, texts etc.
- Provide excellent customer service
- Build strong client relationships
- Adhere to safety and compliance regulations
- Additional duties as required

**What we require of you**:

- High School Diploma
- Valid Class 5 License is a must
- Possess a Clean Commercial and Personal Driver’s Abstract
- Courier or LTL experience is an asset
- _**Minimum 1 year Commercial/Courier delivery driving experience in a 3 Ton Truck or higher**_
- 1 year Warehouse working experience is an asset
- _**Lift freight up to 75 lbs. and load in proper sequence of delivery with the use of a pallet truck**_
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork
- Customer Focus - experience providing quality customer service

- Experience working independently and with mínimal supervision
