**CSI is seeking a Benefits Consultant for its Vancouver Office**

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Benefits Consultants with all client management requirements, with a focus on retention of the assigned book of business and support with business development activities.

**YOUR DAY AS A BENEFITS CONSULTANT**

**Consulting services (80%)**
- Manage mandates and provide consulting services to SME clients with a focus on groups with less than 50 employees;
- Review renewal and/or marketing presentation documents;
- Provide technical support for client projects (plan design, implementation, financing, communication, review and administration) both with colleagues and clients;
- Assume responsibility for client calls and meetings, as required;
- Develop or participate in the development of effective oral presentations for existing or potential clients, individually or in conjunction with team members;
- Collaborate with team members and participate group insurance related projects;
- Keep abreast of legislative changes in human resources and benefits, CRA tax rules, group insurance industry developments/trends and industry best practices.

**Business Development (20%)**
- Support business development efforts;
- Analyze potential client situations and develop a diagnostic of plan conditions;
- Assist in the preparation of various business development documents such as proposals, presentations and/or reports;
- Meet with potential clients to present our group insurance consulting services.

**OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE**
- College Degree minimum or ideally a bachelor's degree in finance or business administration; or years of equivalent work experience, in a relevant industry;
- Must have passed the LLQP exam and hold a valid Life and Sickness licence;
- Knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Must be dynamic and results-oriented;
- Thoroughness, attention to detail and quality of work;
- Effective time management and meeting deadlines;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team, with insurers, clients and members of the organization.

**OFFICE INFORMATION**

Our Vancouver office is situated in Coal Harbour, half a block from the world renowned Seawall. Employees often enjoy activities along the Seawall during their lunch break with Stanley Park being close by. Our office is easily accessible for employees by car and public transit and there are bike storage lockers in our building.
