Cake Decorator

**Position Available**:

- Full Time Permanent Position, Part Time Possible
- Hourly pay rate based on experience, responsibility and contributions.

- Relevant industry experience and Safe Food Handlers Certificate are considered assets.

**What you will do**:

- Bring to life fans’ imagination through the art of cake making and decorating.
- Assemble and prepare DQ’s famous ice cream cakes and novelties, including making, decorating with icing, gel, drawings, decorating kits, air brush, edible images, and letterings.
- Answer fan questions about product ingredients and preparation.
- Quickly and accurately prepare cakes and other food and treat products following DQ recipes and standards.
- Strive to exceed fan expectations and deliver fan first service through timely and quality service.
- Be a willing team player and maintain a cooperative, harmonious working relationship with management and fellow team members.
- Create and maintain a positive, safe, clean, and inviting environment for fans and team members.
- Be a positive ambassador of the Dairy Queen brand, be professional in every aspect of performance while at all times exhibit a genuine passion for excellence.
- Enthusiastically greet and welcome fans to the Dairy Queen brand.
- Calmly solve fan concerns and embrace Dairy Queen’s service recovery standards.
- Perform duties in other areas of the business as assigned by management.
- Follow food safety training and use safe food handling procedures to meet or exceed local health regulations and food safety standards.
- Work in different temperature ranges (refrigerators & freezers), be capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time, able to lift and carry up to 50lbs for short distances.

**About You**:

- Previous cake making and decorating experience are preferred skills.
- Proficiency with cake decorating tools is beneficial but paid training is provided.
- Communicates positively with fans and co-workers consistently throughout work shifts.
- Have fun and maintain a positive attitude at all times
- Enjoy multitasking and working in the fast paced Food Service industry.
- Friendly, courteous, enjoy working with and serving people.
- Strong work ethic and can work independently or as part of a team.
- Performs tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene and a positive attitude.
- Honest, reliable and interested in developing new skills.
