**Reports to**:Service Manager, Hard Rock Distribution
**Shift**:5x2, Monday-Friday
**Allowances**:this role is eligible for an underground premium
**Safety Sensitive**:Yes
- drug & alcohol testing, physical demand fit testing, RCMP criminal record check and submission of 5-year provincial driving record will be required
**Travel**:Up to 35% travel required for this role
**Relocation**:This role is eligible for relocation within Canada

**Key Job Responsibilities**:

- Maintain, repair, and service underground mining equipment
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Adjust, repair, or replace defective equipment parts and components at customer locations
- Participate in and be committed to a strong safety culture

**Qualifications/Requirements**:

- Possess a 421A /Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician or Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic certification. Red Seal certification is an asset. Also open to apprentices at any level who are interested in working toward their Journeyperson HET ticket.
- Experience working on underground LHD's, trucks, jumbos & bolters is required
- Ability to travel and work overtime as needed
- A valid Driver’s License is required
- Must be able to safely lift 50lbs unassisted
- Previous experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems is required
- Ability to read and interpret drawings
- Detail oriented and have a high level of accuracy
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, can multi-task and manage changes in responsibilities
- Able to demonstrate aptitude for problem-solving
- Result-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team
