We are seeking an experienced and motivated **Seasonal Garden Centre Manager** to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy Retail Garden Centre during **our peak season from April-June.**

**Responsibilities**:
**Operational Management**
- Coordinate all daily tasks and activities, ensuring the garden center is well-organized and visually appealing.
- Implement and maintain efficient inventory management practices.
- Oversee the receiving, stocking, maintenance and merchandising of products.

**Customer Service**
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers, answering inquiries, and offering advice on plant assortment.
- Ensure a welcoming and informative atmosphere for customers.

**Staff Supervision**
- Recruit, train, and supervise seasonal staff.
- Manage schedules and allocate tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Conduct regular performance assessments and provide feedback & follow-up training as needed.

**Sales Strategy**
- Implement product placement strategies to drive sales and meet revenue targets.
- Plan and execute feature displays to enhance customer engagement.
- Monitor and analyze sales trends, adjusting strategies and inventory requests as needed.

**Quality Control**
- Ensure the quality and health of plant inventory and report/track any concerns
- Implement daily plant maintenance measures
- Manage discard or shrink inventory against store budget levels

**Job Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in Garden Centre management or a related field.
- Knowledge of plants, gardening, and landscaping practices.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Highly efficient with the ability to delegate tasks
- Retail management experience is a plus.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays during peak seasons
- Able to work a flexible 6 day schedule that covers early AM as well as evening as required
- Capable of working in a fast paced physically demanding environment that involves pushing, pulling, lifting and bending on a daily basis
- Able to navigate various forms of technology from spreadsheets to apps to reporting tools in a mobile office environment.

**Salary**: $1,700.00 per week

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus pay
- Retention bonus
