**Your Role: Sawyer**

As a Sawyer, you’ll play a critical role in our production process. You will be responsible for setting and operating saws to cut lumber according to specified lengths and angles, while adhering to safety standards and quality control protocols.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Set and operate saws (including Hundegger, Matchpoint, Spida, and Web saws) to cut lumber accurately based on cutting and batch lists.
- Ensure correct lumber grades and mínimal defects, adhering to quality standards.
- Calibrate saws to manufacturer specifications and maintain them in optimal condition.
- Keep saws and the work area clean, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Follow health and safety protocols, including lockout procedures, and participate in toolbox meetings.
- Identify and suggest process improvements for efficiency and cost savings.
- Assist with other tasks as required by the Production Manager if cross-trained.

**What You Bring**:

- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is an asset, but on-the-job training is provided.
- Forklift operation experience with a valid permit is a plus.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read and understand cutting lists and shop drawings.
- Solid problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and strong communication skills.
- Understanding of safe work practices and quality assurance requirements.
