Radiation Oncologist BC Cancer - Abbotsford Regular, Full-Time (1.0 FTE) Abbotsford, BC, Canada BC Cancer-Abbotsford seeks a Radiation Oncologist to join our team. The successful applicant will be joining 11 full time radiation oncologists at the BC Cancer-Abbotsford, a full service cancer centre that provides service to approximately 2200 new patients per year. On site assets include CT simulation, four linear accelerators; with cone beam CT, Intensity Modulation, VMAT, SABR, SRS, as well as a comprehensive brachytherapy program. The centre has collaborative and innovative nursing, medical physics, dosimetry and therapy staff. The BC Cancer-Abbotsford has a full range of medical oncology, diagnostic and support services. Abbotsford, the "City in the Country", is nested in the shadow of majestic Mt. Baker, in the eastern Fraser Valley, and has a blend of modern urban living and a friendly country atmosphere. Thanks to the comfortable west coast climate and surrounding geography, a variety of recreational opportunities are nearby. Abbotsford is at a short drive to Vancouver, BC and Seattle, WA. Applicants must be eligible for licensure in BC as a Radiation Oncologist and have Canadian certification in Radiation Oncology (FRCPC), or an equivalent qualification. Experience in GYN and/or GU Brachytherapy will be an asset. Knowledge of social, economic, political and historical realities impacting indigenous communities and familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism and accompanying reports (BC DRIPA, TRC, etc.).
