**Position Overview**:
As a Purchasing Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in driving our company’s success by sourcing quality products and negotiating favorable terms with suppliers. **What You’ll Do**:

- Source & Negotiate: Leverage your expertise in procurement by sourcing products and negotiating with suppliers to secure the best prices, delivery times, and payment terms. Your negotiation skills will be essential in maximizing our budget
- Excel Wizardry: Utilize your extensive Microsoft Excel knowledge to manage company budgets and quotes, working closely with our General Manager to ensure financial accuracy.
- Order Management: Take charge of preparing purchase orders for production, ensuring seamless issuance that meets the needs of our internal stakeholders.
- Backorder & Returns: Oversee backorders and facilitate smooth material returns, keeping our operations efficient and effective.
- End-to-End Coordination: Manage the lifecycle of purchase orders from initiation to delivery, ensuring clear confirmations from suppliers and logistics teams.
- Market Insights: Stay ahead of market trends and pricing changes, keeping our strategies agile and competitive.
- Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with Accounts Payable to ensure invoices are accurate and timely, and coordinate closely with logistics to optimize shipments.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and nurture relationships with suppliers and cross-border brokerage firms, positioning yourself as a trusted partner in our supply chain.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a similar role, with a deep understanding of purchasing fundamentals or supply chain management. Certificate courses are a plus
- Skills: Strong analytical and negotiation skills, paired with exceptional communication and relationship-building capabilities.
- Tech-Savvy: Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) and SmartSheets, with the ability to adapt to new software quickly.
