**Hotel Overview**

The Pan Pacific Toronto Hotel (formerly The Prince Hotel) offers the best of both worlds - a welcoming oasis of calm amid the urban landscape. An exquisite property with 409 intimate guest rooms and 30,000 square feet of meeting space, two restaurants and a lounge in North Toronto, we are uniquely positioned to host a broad range of corporate, government, and leisure groups.

**Job Summary**

To ensure the kitchen and the kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitary.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum of 1 year cleaning experience in a Hotel or related industry.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of guests, employees and management.
- Good organizational and problem solving skills.
- Good oral communication skills.
- Ability to lift weight up to 70 pounds.

**Daily Tasks**

1. Providing all guests with friendly and professional services in a timely manner.

2. Reading, understanding and abiding by the Associate Handbook, hotel policies and department procedures. Maintain dress code standards as outlined in the Associate Handbook.

3. Maintaining the work area in a clean and orderly manner. Check supplies and
chemicals at the start of each shift to ensure there is enough supply and no expired chemicals.

4. Knowing all emergency procedures and being able to respond accordingly. Also assisting the Loss Prevention Department by reporting any unusual activities or individuals to the Loss Prevention Department.

5. Ensure all garbage containers are emptied and cleaned with deodorizer.

6. Mop all kitchen floors and ensure they are free of debris.

7. Stoves and ovens are to be checked for cleaning and maintenance. Clean when required.

8. All cardboard boxes to be broken down and placed in a cardboard container before the shift ends.

9. Flat top grill to be cleaned following these steps:

- allow flat top grill to cool down after being shut off
- wipe grill with a damp, clean towel rage until the surface is free of grease

10. Garbage compactor room to be cleaned following these steps:

- shovel any garbage left on the floor back into the compactor
- sweep area with a hard broom
- hose entire area down with hot water

11. Clean and sweep out all stand up fridges on a daily basis. Mop the floors in the fridges on a daily basis.

12. Counter fridges are to be cleaned and sanitized daily.

13. Any other tasks assigned from time to time by manager.
