CNC Setter/operator

The CNC Operator for the Kongsberg X24 Edge Production Machine is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of the machine to ensure high-quality production of custom products. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Machine Setup and Operation**:

- Configure and calibrate the Kongsberg X24 Edge Production Machine for daily production tasks.
- Load materials and ensure proper alignment and positioning.
- Operate the machine to produce parts according to technical specifications and design requirements.

2. **Quality Assurance**:

- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, ensuring adherence to company standards and client requirements.
- Identify and resolve issues related to material defects, machine performance, or programming errors.

3. **Maintenance and Troubleshooting**:

- Perform routine maintenance on the Kongsberg X24 Edge, including cleaning, lubrication, and part replacement as needed.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot machine errors to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate with technical support or service teams for advanced repairs.

4. **Programming and Customization**:

- Utilize software tools to upload and adjust design files for production.
- Modify CNC programs when necessary to optimize efficiency and accuracy.

5. **Safety and Compliance**:

- Follow workplace safety protocols and ensure the safe operation of the CNC machine.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with company policies.

6. **Collaboration and Communication**:

- Work closely with the design and production teams to meet project deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with team members to resolve issues and improve workflows.

**Qualifications**:

- Technical training or certification in CNC operation preferred.
- Proven experience operating CNC machines, with specific experience on Kongsberg systems a strong advantage.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a manufacturing environment.

**Work Environment**:

- Primarily in a manufacturing or production setting, with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery.
- May require standing for extended periods and lifting materials up to 50 pounds.

- Accuracy and quality of finished products.
- Efficiency in meeting production schedules.
- Minimal machine downtime through effective maintenance.
- Compliance with safety standards.
