**Transport Refrigeration (Reefer) Technician**

**What is the Role?**

ColdFront is looking for _**Transport Refrigeration Technicians **_to join our team,based out of our Saskatoon location and reporting directly to the General Manager. In this role you will be providing and performing technical tasks to aid in the assembly, installation, operation, maintenance and repair of cooling/heating systems, components and mechanical equipment.

**Responsibilities of this position include**:

- Maintain and repair trailer, truck, and rail reefer (refrigerator) units
- Main duties will be to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair components on reefer units
- Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts as required to complete repairs
- Build relationships with customers and the Saskatoon Transportation Industry
- Ensure work is completed to standard
- Other shop related duties as assigned

**Required Education, Skills and Qualifications**
- Journeyman preferred
- Education/Training with a recognized Post-Secondary Trade Institution
- Work effectively as both a team player and an individual contributor
- Excellent communication skills; listening, written and oral
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Proficiency with all tools of the trade
- Previous experience with Reefer and A/C units (Carrier - Transicold reefers and APU’s, Webasto & Proheat heaters) in the transportation industry is preferred
- Previous experience working on refrigerated and heated trailers is preferred
- Valid Driver's License

**Education**:

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Industry: 1 year (preferred)
- Transport Refrigeration: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- driver's license (preferred)
