Every day we go above and beyond to deliver innovative solutions to help our clients make important decisions that directly impact the community and the environment. **As a Laboratory Technician, your main responsibilities are to**: Perform extraction and sample analysis for specific allergens in food products by ELISA. Physical testing (Moisture, pH, Water Activity, Density) of food products. Some duties include: - Extracting Samples for ELISA analysis - Analyzing samples using ELISA techniques and kits - Extraction and analysis for pH, Karl Fisher Moisture. Density and Water Activity testing - Performing all duties in accordance with standard operating procedures - Reviewing LIMS summary reports to plan and prioritize workload - Identifying and communicating non-conformances to supervisor - Participating in improving SOPs and general work instructions - Supporting method development and R&D initiatives within Allergen group - Other duties as assigned **You are the ideal Laboratory Technician, if**: - You possess a post-secondary education and/or equivalent related work experience in analytical laboratory - Experience with ELISA tests/Karl Fisher Moisture/Density or Water Activity would be an asset - You possess analytical problem solving skills and excellent documentation skills - You have the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments - You are detail-oriented - You have the ability to work independently and as part of a team - You have excellent interpersonal skill - You are dynamic, energetic, motivated, positive outlook, and a "can-do" attitude **May be required to work afternoon shifts and weekends, as per the business needs** Bureau Veritas is a world leader in testing, inspection and certification services.
