**Purpose of Role**:
The Manager, Geologic Data Systems will lead the execution of the strategy for geologic data systems across Kinross. Reports to Senior Manager, Resource Geology.

**Job Responsbilities**:

- To provide leadership in development and implementation of standard practices in the capture, maintenance and integrity of all forms of geologic data.
- To train and supervise data management personnel to ensure quality standards throughout the company.
- To identify and recommend new resource system and GIS technology to enhance and maximize the use of all geologic and exploration data.
- To train geologists and database administrators in the management, visualization and presentation of geologic data.
- To develop, disseminate and maintain tools and systems that enhance the utility of geologic data for all users.
- Frequently travels to various sites globally.
- Align activities to support the Corporation’s goals and objectives.
- Actively monitors developments in the industry related to geologic data systems.
- Management of multiple technological projects simultaneously.

**Education and Experience**:

- Undergraduate Degree in Geology, Earth Sciences or equivalent.
- 10 to 15 years of mining related experience.
- Experience implementing and supporting geologic data systems.
- Proficiency in RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems) especially with acQuire

**Skills**:

- In depth understanding of mining operations, exploration and geology work processes.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, technical and analytical skills.
- Previous work experience using GIS systems, Fusion and other database software.
