**Job description**

**Ideal Railings Ltd. is one of the largest suppliers of interior and exterior railings to the best track and subdivision builders in the GTA.**

**SKILL FACTORS**

Education: High school certificate Grade 10 or Canadian Equivalent.

Experience: Experience working in a warehouse environment.

Knowledge: Experience using the forklift. Able to load/unload skids from/to racking also ability to load/unload longer loads from the racking.

Ability to read the tape measure (imperial) accurately.

Ability to count accurately and prepare the number of pickets and type of posts required for any given house.

Ability to use saw(s), Single head router(s) and other machinery.

Ability to read and understand the work order(s) forms.

Ability to ensure high product quality of work.

Ability to help and assist in other areas of the plant including doing general cleaning and other duties as required.

Ability to notify to the Production Supervisor and or plant Manager the malfunction of machinery and/or equipment he or she uses. This includes all safety issues such as malfunction of safety guards and/or damaged electrical cords which makes the equipment unsafe to use.

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Communication: Ability to read, write and understand English (fully)

Ability to communicate in English (fully)

**EFFORT FACTORS**

Physical Demands: Prolong periods of standing

Extensive use of hand and arms

Lifting required up to 40 lbs.

Mental Demands: Great self-discipline.

Ability to be self-motivated and motivate his/her team.

High degree of responsibility

Working Conditions: Fast-paced

Job Summary: Prepare pickets and posts in advance for any given house so the installers will be able to install the house(s) and meet the installation dates. Assist and help other areas of the plant if required.

**Salary**: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
