Lightspeed is looking for a Partnership Manager to join our team Reporting into the VP, Business Development, you will build and expand our most strategic enterprise product partners while driving strategic initiatives that are core to our expansion and growth priorities.
This role is focused on building relationships with global and cross product partners at Lightspeed. You will work across product and technology teams, go to market teams, and leadership across all of Lightspeed to drive forward various projects and initiatives that are key to delivering business results. You have a business mindset, are an excellent communicator, and excel at working across internal and external teams to explore ideas and accomplish big things. You work to have an impact and to help other companies thrive on our platforms
**What you'll be responsible for**
- Developing new relationships and managing existing relationships with strategic partners;
- Being the first to identify the latest trends, patterns, and events in the point of sale, digital commerce, and payments space to leadership teams;
- Source, structure and negotiate deals with existing strategic partners in pursuit of better terms, aligned with product roadmap and business objectives;
- Staying up to date on Lightspeed's strategic priorities and build a framework to build and grow strategic partnerships based on those priorities;
- Maintaining accurate and extensive documentation around points of contact and strategic initiatives currently in use with our biggest partners at Lightspeed;
- Collaborating across all products, teams, and regions with thought leaders at Lightspeed to understand strategic priorities for our biggest partners;
- Communicating with strategic partners and internal stakeholders to resolve issues that impact our customers and internal teams;
- Working together with cross-functional teams, track, analyze, influence, and communicate key metrics to support ongoing partnership management and identify new opportunities to fill product gaps or create net new business opportunities that deliver value to Lightspeed merchants;
**What you'll bring to the team**
- Fluency in English
- University degree in Engineering/Business/Marketing or other relevant studies
- 5+ years of related work experience - ideally with partnerships in software or fintech companies
- An understanding of the point of sale, digital commerce, and payments space
- Excellent communication skills - you are a true relationship builder
- Passion for software technology in e-commerce / retail / restaurant / payments
- You take initiative and identify as a self-starter
- You are a team player
- You have a strong attention to detail
**Even better if you have, but not required**
- Fluency in French
- Knowledge of the retail / e-commerce / restaurant/payments industry
