Position Overview
Integro is currently looking for skilled CNC Operators, wanting to work day shift at our Vaughan, ON facility.
Reporting directly to the Fabrication Supervisor, the CNC Operator's job description will include, but is not limited to the following responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
- Operate computer numerical control (CNC) machine center to produce machined parts.
- Set up CNC machine and ensure it is running properly daily.
- Machine according to engineering drawings, materials, and specifications while interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.
- Help in troubleshooting when CNC machine has error messages and where manual programming methods must be applied.
- Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part part and sample work pieces.
- Properly and safely loads and unloads mullions/extrusions on CNC machinery; run the part on the machine and check that it meets or exceeds company quality standards.
- Complete daily production reports, records and machine logs.
- Perform daily regular maintenance (i.e. cleaning) of CNC machine and work area.
- Develop effective relationships with key departments and facilitate good communication between drafting, engineering and the CNC department.
- Maintain an open and professional dialogue with Plant Management and Production Control.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety Policies and Procedures.
- Maintain safe working conditions and keep related areas clean.
- Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a manufacturing environment or curtainwall industry is an asset;
- Hand eye coordination
- Regular attendance is critical;
- Ability to use hand tools and accurately use a tape measure as required;
- Positive working attitude;
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
- Understand units of measure, perform basic mathemathical equations (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication);
- Work in a team environment by demonstrating Integro’s core values (i.e. dependable, passion, honesty, and loyalty.);
- Good communication skills with the ability to take direction; and
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands and Abilities:
- Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time;
- Repetitive motion with hands and arms; and
- Standing, twisting head, neck and upper body for entire shift.
Working Conditions:
- Manufacturing plant environment;
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks that require knowledge of adherences to basic safety procedures and precautions;
- Work environment requires PPE: safety footwear, safety glasses, hearing protection and a mask, following H&S standards; and
- Flexible to work overtime as required.
