Daycare Van Driver

**Duties**:

- Transport children to and from school
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections as well as bring the vehicle in for scheduled tire rotations or safety inspections as needed
- Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws
- Pre heat vehicle and clean off any snow prior

Qualifications:

- Valid class 4
- Clean driving record -Must be willing to provide a criminal record and child abuse check and Drivers abstract
- Experience with children preferred
- Knowledge of automotive repair is a plus
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This position requires a responsible individual with a strong work ethic and attention to detail. As a Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of children. The children start school at 8:45 a.m. and we begin shuttling at 8:15 a.m. End of day commences at 3:15 p.m. and we are usually done by 4:15 p.m. Hours may differ in winter. We transport them to Sage Creek School and the driver is accompanied by a daycare worker at all times. The driver is solely responsible for driving the 15 passenger ford transit ensuring the safety of children and establishing a positive interaction with children and staff. This position runs from September to June with the potential of extra hours in the summer for field trips but not mandatory. The driver will be responsible in the winter for picking up the vehicle down the street when needing to be plugged in and returnung to vehicle to plug in at the end of the day.

Pay: From $19.40 per hour
