Join our team Paterson Kaye Resort is looking to fill our busy kitchen with a staff full of team players. No experience is necessary - we are willing to train

**Responsibilities**:

- Follow the prep list created by our Chef to execute duties efficiently.
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen as per Chefs and company standards.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Great communication skills and a positive attitude
- ** Proven cooking experience** is an asset but **not necessary**. We welcome students and individuals with a passion for the industry and are willing to train fully.
- Ability to multitask and perform successfully in a busy environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards in a kitchen.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. without assistance.
- Smart Serve Certification.
- WHMIS Certification is an asset.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is desirable, and training from a culinary school will be an asset.

**About Patterson Kaye Resort**:
Our resort is in the heart of cottage country, Muskoka, Ontario. We offer relaxed cottage rentals from 2-12 person occupancy, a wide variety of 24 units, studios to fully equipped cottages. Our restaurant on site is kept busy year round with a variety of events and celebrations from weddings to business meetings. As well as a variety of seasonal amenities and activities.We are looking to employ multiple full and part time positions year round and can cross train if you are interested in multiple departments. We are also willing to fully train persons interested in entering the hospitality industry who have an enthusiastic, hard working personality and work well in a team.
