**Job Description**:
This position provides overall FP&A leadership for SNDL, leading operational & management reporting, forecasting (Annual and Strategic Planning), identifies and monitors opportunities & Risk, managing the contingency planning process to ensure delivery of financial commitments, and providing analytical insight to decision-making. As a strong business partner, this position will collaborate extensively with Corporate and Segment Executive Management and work closely with all areas of the company involved in performance management and planning.
This position reports directly to the Corporate CFO, is a key member of the Finance Leadership Team, and interacts regularly with the Executive team and the Board of Directors.
Position Responsibilities and Relationships
- Drive the SNDL Forecast, Planning & Management Reporting processes
- Create & Maintain Financial Calendar
- Drive financial target setting process
- Prepare overall forecast/plan submissions
- Provide SNDL level business analytics to assess business risk & opportunities
- Maintain SNDL contingency plans and risk & opportunity profile
- Prepare SNDL presentations for Forecasts, Annual Plans and Actual results
- Ensure quality monthly results management reporting incl. support for Earning Release preparation
- Support Strategic Planning process
- Manage the overhead planning and reporting process, including functional target setting
- Providing Finance support for corporate functions
- SNDL Center of Excellence for Financial planning & reporting systems, including continuous development and deployment of BI solutions
- Complete ad hoc analytical requirements & projects as needed. Oversees analytics and makes recommendations based on sound problem solving skills, and a strong understanding of business implications
- Leads the financial evaluation of M&A projects and capital deployment
- Builds strong relationships with key internal customers, including segment, corporate functions and finance leadership teams.
- Leads harmonization efforts and efficiency improvements to ways of working and building a mindset of continuous improvement within the organization
- Lead and develop Corporate FP&A team of 6
Knowledge/skills required
- BS in Finance-Accounting or Business Administration required. MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in financial/P&L management.
- Strong financial analysis and problem solving skills.
- Challenges the status quo. Critical thinker that is able to set strategic direction and transform businesses and organizations
- Strong business acumen, understands well business and operational drivers and connection with financial performance in both commercial and supply chain environments.
- Strong team player who manages collaboratively with all stakeholders.
- Strong influencing, negotiation and communication skills, and ability to lead both direct reports and informal teams. Is able to articulate complex situations in a simple and clear way, backed up by facts
- Reliable, is capable of managing significant amounts of information and data with accuracy and attention to detail
- Balances strategic and operational dimensions.
