**Job description**

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced lowbed driver to join our team. As a skilled Lowbed Driver working at Highroad Excavating and Trucking you will be responsible for transporting heavy equipment and freight safely and efficiently. Reporting to the Shop Manager, your core skills in commercial driving will be essential for navigating various terrains and ensuring safe and timely deliveries. Your premium operation and freight handling will enhance your effectiveness in loading and unloading cargo. Additionally, your relevant will contribute to maintaining vehicle safety and performance. **Role and Responsibilities**
- Transporting heavy equipment to various project locations throughout the Lower mainland.
- Loading equipment on and off of the low bed truck and following site safety rules and regulations
- Ensuring loads are secure
- General maintenance and upkeep of the vehicle
- Maintaining log books and time sheets in an accurate and timely manner
- Working with other members of the team in a professional manner
- Supporting the Maintenance Facility as directed by Maintenance Facility Manager and President

**Qualifications, Training and Education**
- Class one license with Air brake endorsement and a clean commercial drivers abstract is required
- Extensive experience operating heavy equipment
- Knowledge and experience within civil construction (would be beneficial but not mandatory)
- Willingness to work long hours including weekends

**Qualifications**
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Proven experience in commercial driving, specifically lowbed and truck operation
- Proficiency in heavy equipment operation
- Forklift operation skills
- Knowledge of freight handling and logistics
- Basic for vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and practices in transportation

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
