Laboratory Analyst

Sarcova Industries Inc. is hiring a Full-time Laboratory Analyst to assist in our hazardous materials analysis laboratory. We are a small but growing company with a reputation for reliable results from friendly staff.

**Responsibilities**:
The responsibilities for this role will be largely analysis based with some general lab maintenance tasks included. Examples of lab analyst duties include;
- Analysis of Bulk Building Materials for Asbestos
- Analysis of Airborne Asbestos sampling cassettes
- Analysis of Paint and other materials for heavy metals by FAAS
- Analysis of various mould and fungi samples
- Preparation of reports detailing results
- General Lab Maintenance tasks

**Requirements**:
Assets
- Undergraduate or Graduate research project which included Lab work
- Experience with Microscopes such as Stereo, PLM and PCM
- Knowledge of building materials used in commercial or residential construction
- Knowledge of staining techniques and microbial identification
- Experience dealing with rush orders

Compensation starts at $21.00 per hour. Working hours are 8:30-4:30 Monday to Friday, 40 paid hours per week.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
