**About Academy**

**Job Purpose**

The NACE Coating Inspectors are responsible for all aspects of inspection, and Quality Control in both Academy’s facility and Academy’s sub-contractor’s facilities.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Understanding and knowledge of owner and client specifications
- Inspecting and verifying all elements of sub-contractor’s coating operations
- Product verification/Paint System Verification
- Evaluating defects (i.e. WFT’s, DFT’s, blast profile, salt test) and determining if they are acceptable or reject able. (Once an acceptance criterion is established)
- Inspecting surface for protection from abrasive blasting
- Inspecting trailer load out/tie downs
- Reviewing client specifications and understanding requirements
- Generating inspection and test plans
- Working with clients and sub-contractor’s
- Traveling between different facilities
- Have the ability to work independently
- Adhering to all Academy’s policies and procedures

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years of similar experience is required
- NACE Level I, II, or III is required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A good understanding of quality inspection procedures, code compliance, and equipment
- Must be detail oriented
- Must possess interpersonal skills, along with the ability to participate in a positive engaging culture

**Salary**: $83,200.00-$87,360.00 per year
