**Position Summary**

As a Team Member, you are the face of Tahini’s. You are responsible for delivering exceptional service, preparing and serving high-quality food, and keeping the restaurant clean and organized. Your positive energy and dedication to excellence help ensure every guest feels welcomed.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Guest Service & Hospitality**
- Greet guests with warmth and enthusiasm
- Personalize the guest experience through friendly conversation and menu knowledge
- Serve food quickly, accurately, and with care
- Handle guest concerns with empathy, urgency, and professionalism
- Create memorable moments that turn first-time guests into regulars

**Food Preparation & Quality**
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines precisely
- Ensure freshness and food safety standards at all times
- Assemble dishes with attention to detail and presentation
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and allergens

**Cleanliness & Organization**
- Keep workstations, dining areas, back-of-house, storage area, and restrooms clean and tidy
- Follow all cleaning, deep-cleaning, sanitizing, opening, and closing procedures
- Utilize and follow checklists

**Teamwork & Efficiency**
- Work collaboratively with teammates and support a positive culture
- Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues
- Take initiative and step into different roles as needed
- Follow shift plans and prioritize tasks with urgency and accuracy
- Other duties, tasks, and assignments as requested and required

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- A passion for guest service and a team-first attitude
- Prior QSR or hospitality experience is an asset, but not required
- WHMIS and Food Handler certifications are an asset, but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift a minimum of 25 lbs

**Physical Demands**
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Repetitive motions
- Handling materials and equipment manually
- Bending or twisting the body during service tasks

**Work Environment**
- Exposure to warmer-than-usual temperatures due to the equipment
- Depending on location, work areas may be compact and fast-moving
- Non-slip/anti-slip footwear is required for safety

Pay: $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Markham, ON L3R 5A1: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)
