**Your Opportunity**:
The Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) II is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the laboratory services for their assigned service area or for performing advanced laboratory assistant duties. Work at the MLA II level is differentiated from work at the MLA I level by the additional responsibility of coordinating daily operations and/or quality assurance functions in an assigned area or performing advanced preanalytical and analytical handling and processing of specimens.
**Description**:
As a Laboratory Assistant II, you will perform advanced preanalytical or analytical techniques on specimen/samples or coordinate, prioritize, monitor, and assign duties of laboratory staff in your assigned area. You will resolve escalated issues, conduct quality control investigations and maintain technical and operational procedures. You will be responsible for ensuring laboratory staff maintain compliance with policies and procedures and will provide coaching and feedback to staff and students.
