Thomas’ Circle of Care Inc. has an exciting permanent opportunity for the Assistant House Leader at our homes in Moose jaw and Regina. The incumbent will be responsible to ensure the home and the children receive the proper care and attention and follow the plan set forth for the home to foster the holistic development of all children in the highest possible regard.
- **Job Profile**:_

Ø Ensure the proper preparation of meals

Ø Daily review, record, plan and coordinate programs and activities in the house

Ø Handles intake process and identifies age-appropriate activities for the children

Ø Ensure cleaning and maintenance of the premises as per schedule

Ø Ensure proper and timely reporting

Ø Maintain professionalism and confidentiality of staff and children’s information

Ø Ensure all children’s medication is administered timely

Ø Ensure children’s pick up and drop off for children’s daily activities

Ø Attends OH&S Committee meetings and/or participates in OH&S related initiatives

Ø Ensure the children have proper clothing and school supplies

Ø Onboards new staff and ensures their understanding of roles/responsibilities

Ø Facilitates and supports visits from family members

Ø Handles injuries and/or takes to the doctor/emergency

Ø Identifies behavioral issues and responds appropriately

Ø Ensures the House Leader is kept apprised of any issues, trends or opportunities
- **Qualification / Certifications: -**_

Ø Formal Education Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g ECE or Social Work Diploma) is considered an asset

Ø CPR/First Aid is required

Ø Training in behavioral and crisis management is an asset

Ø Experience working with children with varying behaviors will be an asset

Ø Day/Hours of Work
- Sunday -Thursday (3pm-11pm)

Schedule:

- Evening shift
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Moose Jaw, SK: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
