In this role you will:

- Review grant budgets for compliance with funder guidelines, expense eligibility, institutional policies, and cost recovery mechanisms (e.g., indirect costs, service provider fees, etc.).
- Oversee award finalization and non-financial post-award processes (i.e., progress reporting, institutional approval tasks, etc.).
- Oversee the pre-award research approval process for CAMH Research.
- Maintain expert knowledge of funder policies, program updates, and funding guidelines, particularly for Canadian and U.S. federal funders (i.e., CIHR, NIH).

- Manage CAMH’s internal funding competitions, including liaison with stakeholders, development of funding program guidelines, recruitment of external committee members, and participation as a member on review committees.
- Oversee communication strategies for the identification and announcement of funding opportunities; internal deadlines; and services provided by the Grants & Awards Team.
- Plan and implement frameworks, tools, and resources to improve grant success rates (i.e., Internal Peer Review, workshops, templates, internal web pages, etc.).
- Develop and maintain grant processes and policies to improve efficiency, minimize institutional risk and add value for CAMH scientists and staff.
- Enforce policies and procedures to optimize the use of resources, safeguard research funds, maintain reliable information systems, and compliance with external granting agency guidelines/certifications.
- Produce grant data reports and briefing materials for key internal and external stakeholders.
