The USSU Childcare Centre provides care for children aged 6 months to 6 years of age and has been in operation on the University of Saskatchewan campus since 1992. We have 180 children between our two centres, the Williams Location and the McEown Location.

At this time we hiring a full-time permanent cook position to start as soon as possible at our 90-space Williams location.

**Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)**:preparing daily snacks and meals for 90 children. Adhere to a prepared menu that follows the requirements from the Ministry of Education - Early Years branch. Adaptability to prepare meals for children with allergies or dietary restrictions. Grocery lists would need to be prepared in advance for the upcoming week. Following all sanitizing and food safety protocols. Ensure equipment is clean and functioning. Working closely with classroom educators to understand their needs.

**Training & Requirements**:Valid First Aid/CPR certification, Clear Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check, Food Safety Course and Canadian Language Benchmark of 8 or higher. Experience as a cook in a childcare setting will be taken into an applicant's consideration.

**Starting Wage**:
$24.03/hourly

The daily shift would be 8:15 am to 4:15 pm, with a 40-minute lunch break.

Monthly earned day off.

Expected hours: 35 per week

**Experience**:

- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
